My question is about modification of I386 folder. The aim is to get Windows menus like 'Start', 'Programs' etc. in English instead of existing ones localized in Russian.
I've bought Thinkpad R51 with preinstalled Russian localized Windows XP. I'm going to reinstall OS performing 'clean install' (making bootable CD, deleting HPA, etc.) To make bootable CD I have to use my C:\I386 folder with licensed Russian localized OS. Is it possible to substitute some files in Russian I386 from English version of I386 (before installing OS) that contain menus?
How to get rid of localization of I386 folder?
