I installed T with X software.....

#1 Post by Filip » Sat Oct 01, 2005 6:22 am

I had big troubles with my T43. I wanted to restore the computer to factory settings and I couldn't so I burned Product recovery discs from the X41 and installed it to T43.
Will I have any problems with this?
What should I do?
Can I change the windows product key to my (that I've purchased with my T43)..?

You shouldn't have problems at all. The install images for the X and the T series are the same.

As for the key number, I think there's a way to change it, but I'm not sure.

YES, you can use any thinkpad recovery CDs for any model, just install later the correct drivers, e.g. video driver.
