Firewall or security for wi-fi web surfing
Firewall or security for wi-fi web surfing
I have T23, running XP pro SP2, that I use for downloading mail and web surfing, I use Thunderbird for e-mail and Firefox for the web. I'm using AVG anti-virus, and run spybot and adware every other day. Do I need a fire-wall? I don't leave the computer stay on very long, only about 2 hours a day.

Depends.
If your behind a NAT Router with a Firewall that has SPI (most do)... no.
If your plugged directly to the net. I would (the XP SP2 firewall may be enough).
