central european characters Win2000 T22

I just got a used T22 to replace my T20 which went bust after many years.
It has the identical Win2000 Pro that my old one did, but when I try to get central european characters to work, I get message that Win2000 CD is required.
T series thinkpads come with Recovery Disk and back up of 2000 is in folder I386 - no Win2000 CD.
Any suggestions?
I need central european characters for my work.

If you can't borrow one, check Ebay. The last time I looked, W2k with SP3 copies were selling for $50-$60.

If you can borrow a Window 2000 disk from a friend, that should work.
