im tryin to use search and im gettin nothing. the window opens, but the black side where u select what you want to look for is solid black, i can not search.

Get TweakUI and apply option "Use classic search in Explorer" - it might help and will also get rid of the dog (awkward feature as for Professional version of OS :-)); I do not know any person who likes this animal.

Love the Dog :!: , very cute, very helpful, quite smart.

Oh yeah, blake, did you try running system file checker? Start Run type in sfc /scannow

push go, takes about 10 or so minutes, it might repair a corrupted file.
