Help with Norton product key

#1 Post by akhavan » Mon Dec 19, 2005 1:22 pm

Hi,

I have a old (but in mint condition 770Z window 98) ThinkPad. I had a Norton INTERNET Security 2005 on it which expired about a week ago. I purchased a new box Norton INTERNET Security 2005 today. But when I try to install it, it still takes the old expired product key from window registry. Does anybody know where that info in window registry is so that I can delete it and install the new product key?

Thanks

Sepehr

P.S. I have removed all entries of Symantec in Software in window registry but I think the data is some where else!

Search the Symantec Support site for removal instructions for NIS 2005. There is a program to do what you want, if I remember correctly.

Never mind I did it.

The removal instruction on Symantec Support for NIS2005 does not remove Product Key.
