Ultranav/TrackPoint TP4*.dat Files

The latest version of the UltraNav drivers includes three of these files:

C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\Media\TP4SCROL.DAT
C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\Media\TP4TABLE.DAT
C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\tp4table.dat

Does anyone know why there are three, and perhaps whether by making them different one can induce different behaviors for trackpoint and touchpad scrolling?

My particular interest is in Microsoft Streets, which, with a Microsoft Intellimouse, will zoom when the mouse wheel is scrolled, but pan when the wheel button is depressed while the mouse is moved on the desktop. My thought was that I might be able to make the touchpad zoom and the trackpoint scroll.
