fingerprint vs username change

#1 Post by endy » Wed Feb 08, 2006 3:32 am

Hi,
I have done following:
1. After first switch on of notebook, I finished installation creating user name XXX YYY, using which I used to log in to windows.
2. Then I enrolled fingerprints for this account.
3. Then I changed my user name from XXX YYY to XYYY (along with password).
4. Then I had to enroll again the fingerprints for this new account.
and now the problem:
I of course switched on the feature using which I can log in to windows using the fingerprint.
Now, when I am being asked to authorize when the windows is starting, sometimes
A) I get window where I am being asked for password for the XXX YYY account, which no longer exists in windows (after entering password I get error message that either password is wrong or user doesn't exist), or
B) I successfully log in to windows.

In fingerprint management software, original XXX YYY record is not available.
So I figured, that the fingerprints are somehow stored somewhere even for that old account and now it gets confused with the new fingerprints for new (current) account.

Any1 can please help with this ?

Thanks.

I found a solution in the forum :)
I just needed to switch from convenient to secure mode.
