Rescure & Recovery - Defining Network Drive

#1 Post by ibmuser » Fri Mar 03, 2006 10:55 am

Does anyone know how I can change the destination network drive that R&R backups are stored in? I can't find an option for this in the program.

What version of RnR are you using? And there is no way to have multiple network locations so are you sure you're done with the backups in the original network locale?

I have the latest version.
What's odd is that even when I choose the location, I have no option to define the path to the shared drive even though I can otherwise access it.

Select "SWet Schedule and Preferences" under MANAGE B ACKUPS on the first screen. When you select on of the choices from the second screen: BACKUP LOCATION such as LOCAL HDD, SECOND HD, USB HD you do not specify a path but you can specify at title for the backup. The program automatically inserts the date into the backup title. You will be able to view the backup 'location' by selecting VIEW BACKUP on the first screen after the backupis completed. I do not use the LOCAL HDD as a location since if the local hd fails then how is one to use it as a backup?-it also consumes about 4 gb of the local hd.
