Thinkpad Themes

#1 Post by TimWang » Fri Mar 24, 2006 12:35 am

Today, I changed my Windows XP theme to the one that IBM made. I think it was called Think Theme. Now, all the "text" on my computers are smaller. Even the text on my firefox menu bar have gotten smaller. I don't know how to change it back and I can't think of another way to change the font size (I tried changing the font size under display properties but that only changes the title sizes.

In Display properties under appearance click on 'advanced' go through each item and adjust to your liking.

You can go to display properties, settings, advanced, in the DPI settings hit the down arrow, select custom settings and you can adjust it there, i have used that it works pretty good.

There is a thread on this forum that has the URL for the IBM themes. Use the search button to find it. (unless someone else just happens to have it handy)

It's all in the eff-ay-qyooooooooo.... ;)
13) Where did IBM hide all the screensavers and wallpapers?

They were at this site, but it seems to be obsolete now:

http://www.pc.ibm.com/ww/thinkpad/commu ... nload.html

Try here instead:

ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccwww/ww/thinkpad/wallpaper/
ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/special/download/

ThinkPad 10-Year Anniversary screensaver:
ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccwww/ww/thin ... _ver_b.exe

These are not at Lenovo/IBM - use at your own risk:

It's amazing the things people would find if they just poked around a little in the "READ ME FIRST FAQ then post" section of the forum! ;')

I like to set mine at 110%. The default 125% works well on some systems' displays, but I find on my I like to do just a slight enlargement. No Viagra, thanks.
