I386 Folder

#1 Post by yanivsag » Fri May 12, 2006 1:32 am

Hi,

I accidentally deleted my I386 folder, and need to reinstall windows (by making a bootable CD of it).
I also deleted in the past the recovery partition and all the stuff IBM put on the thinkpad.
can I download the I386 anywhere? I don't want to use a non-original corporate windows XP. especially when I paid for the original...
can anyone help me with this?

thanks

If you can, try to make the Recovery Set of Disks; if that doesn't work, give IBM/Lenovo a ring and explain what happened, they should send you a set of the recovery CDs for no charge (worst case, ~$45 fee).

I don't know of a place where you could download all of the stuff in the i386 folder, though.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

I say FAT CHANCE! How long do you think a site like that would stay up once Microsoft found out about it? They would be upon it like the 800-lb. gorilla that they are.

I ment on a P2P network such as Bittorrent or e-mule. the problem with this nets that you never know what you're downloading...

This is just too close to the "can you help me crack this password" type questions, and I don't think it belongs in here. Say goodnight, guys.
