BIOS booboo?

#1 Post by dsigma6 » Fri May 19, 2006 9:18 am

I did a BIOS update the other day- And ignored the repeated warnings to have a full battery. It was probably at about 60%. Now that I'm looking around for possible problems, is it true that this will confuse my battery and cause it to drain faster?

No, it shouldn't have caused a problem with reading the battery. The reason it asks for 100% is to make sure that if the power goes out, it will have an alternative power source. If they didn't say 100%, some might try to use a battery with 1% charge.
