Problem with search function

#1 Post by tfflivemb2 » Sat May 27, 2006 2:19 pm

I am having problems when I search for something using the search function. After I am given the results of my search, I click on one of the results and read it, then when I click "back" it takes me to the main search page, and not the results. This causes me to have to run the search again, then I get the "you cannot make another search so soon, blah, blah, blah".

A quick fix has been to hold the shift key when I click on one of the search results, so that that specific result opens in a new window.

FYI: I am using IE 7.

Anyone else having this problem?

P.S. I can't remember when it started, before or after adding IE 7.

OK, downloaded, installed and tried again. Still the same problem.

I might just revert back to IE6.

Use the backspace button, works for me. Or Firefox, works even better

I primarily use the backspace and shift-backspace. Neither the backspace nor the back arrow button work.

I didn't think to test it on Firefox, which I use from time to time. I guess I will try it when I am done reading the "new" posts.

OK, it is defintately IE. I didn't have any problems with it in FireFox.

Normally, I prefer IE over FireFox because of the lack of delay in IE opening

Hopefully, I can find some setting that needs to be adjusted.

Hey, you don't grumble. I also suffer the same thing as you just now on a different computer. Now 2 persons waiting for a logical explanation for this. *confused*

Moved to the Windows OS conference, since it appears that this is a Windows/IE issue.
