boots only from ac

#1 Post by dsigma6 » Mon May 29, 2006 3:32 pm

i posted about a slowdown in another thread- this slow down has occured since i noticed this problem.

yesterday i had the comp charging from a power strip that was also powering an air conditioner. i think that might be a factor.

ive read about people not being able to boot from battery, but in those cases people said the lights would blink for a second, and then nothing would happen. when i try from battery, not even a blink.

ac works, and will run off the battery once its started up. i heard it could be an overcharged capacitor, but i think that would be too easy, and god knows easy fixes dont occur often.

the computer wont run 10 out of 40 processes that usually come up, and i tried a fix in the registry that causes the problem with explorer.exe and iexplore.exe, but they dont even exist in my registry.

time for ebay?? im not replacing a motherboard!

Are you running the Battery Maximizer program?
