May i know how to install DHCP, DNS and WINS using Windows server 2003? I got a properly configured computer with Windows Server 2003 installed. I am the admin for my computer. I can also access WS 2003 source files on CD and network. Please help me. I am stuck now.

Just use the Serverassistent that you find on the System. With this you can do general setting. Later you find the ENtries for DHCP, DNS and Wins in the starmenu.

BUT: Maintaining Windows Server is not as easy as many think. If you even don't know how to set up such things properly in general i'll guess that this will never become a stable running Server...

It would take a good deal of typing on here to explain how to do these things.

Windows Server 2003 comes in multiple editions. The most used ones are Standard R2 or Enterprise R2, and in these editions almost all features are disabled by default when you do the initial install. I believe that is true for all editions, but I'm not certain.

I've never seen the Server assistant, but where I start from is the window that pops up when you reboot titled 'Manage Your Server' (It's very useful, and if you clicked the 'don't show this dialog again', it is available from the very top of the start menu). Follow the links in Manage Your Server, look for roles, such as domain controller, DHCP, etc., and you'll find instructions to guide you for what you need.

Edit: In 'Manage Your Server', click on 'Read about server roles', then 'DHCP Server Role overview', then 'DHCP server role: Configuring a DHCP server'. Follow the instructions.

Repeat for 'DNS Server role overview' and 'WINS server role overview'.
