Longhorn?

Does anyone know anything about Microsoft's new OS, codenamed "Longhorn." I searched around a found some things about it, but could find if it was coming out in 2005 or 2006. I was thinking about buying T42 in a month or two, but should I wait till Longhorn comes out? Please help!

If you need a new laptop now, buy it. You'll have to wait at least two years for Longhorn if not more. MS has even considered releasing "XP Reloaded" before Longhorn.

don't wait for lh. i have it, i know it's not complete; however, the only thing i liked was the sidebar. plus you can always upgrade to longhorn if you decide to keey yer t42 for 3yrs.

Longhorn is a year or two away. And do you really want to install anything from microsoft that hasn't been through at least 2 service pack bug fixes (sorry, "updates").
