Detecting if connected to port replicator

#1 Post by mikek » Sat Jun 03, 2006 12:52 pm

Following advice in these forums I've found hdi.exe (http://www.lonewolf.gr) which seems harmless and not a trojan... which puts a really handy HD indicator in the systray for those occasions (about half my working day) when the T42 is docked on one of the port replicators I use. I always start it manually when I'm docked... but I feel sure that if I boot up on a replicator there should be some way of detecting this and autorunning HDI.... is this right? Can anyone advise me? I could put it in startup and have it run every time... but that seems unnecessary for the 50% of the time I'm using the laptop on my lap...

Thanks
Regards
