WIN + L
I've had a T43p for sometime now, but i figured this would apply to all models. Is there a way to effectively "WIN+L" to switch users or "WIN+ anything" when the thinkpad's keyboard has no WIN key?
thanks!
thanks!

Yup, just use the Keyboard Customizer Utility and map an oft-unused key to the Windows Key; for example, I have the right alt key mapped to the Windows Key and the right Ctrl key mapped to the metakey.
After that, simply go "Alt+L" and it will lock or engage user switching.

"Keyboard Customizer" does the job, but it also means you've got another service running . . . I use KeyTweak to avoid that (http://webpages.charter.net/krumsick/). It changes key mapping at the registry level, so there's no memory usage 'penalty'. For what it's worth,

Window's own User32.dll offers a function to lock the desktop.
