Rescue Recovery Disk, it doesn't work

#1 Post by KITT » Mon Jun 26, 2006 5:04 am

Hi!

I deleted Windows and installed suse linux 10.0 on my notebook. After I recognized, a very important program doesn't work with linux, I wanted to install the 5 Disk Rescue Recovery Windows.

While creating the disks, the IBM-Software only asked for 5 Disks. During its installation it asks for 6 Disks! How can that be!?!? I only have 5 Disks. I was very [censored] yesterday, because I tried several things, and it costed me so much time!

Which email or phone number can I use to complain to IBM?

Hi,

Did you also write disc 1 of 1? The Rescue & Recovert start disc?

If you only made the Recovery cd ir will not work properly.
Call your IBM Tech Support for new Recovery Cd set.
As long as the machine has a warranty you are entitled to get them free of charge. Outside the warranty you can get them for £39.99 or €50.

Cheers
