Rescue and Recovery that is not the other R&R.

I recently had a malicious program wreaking havoc on my drive that i had to do a complete resore. It was virtually almost a one button process. Microsoft Windows should implement this on their operating system. Their restore point is not even on par especially when on is required to reformat the drive. It was completely painless. I had two partitions, one was for the system and programs the other mainly for datas. Fortunately the data partition was clean so all I had to do was Recover the system partition. One thing to watch out for is that the CD/DVD drive needs to be assigned to D: path otherwise it may get funky. Other than that is was, gasp, hassle free.

I hear that Lenovo will be licencing out Thinkvantage technology, I hope they'll also provide a standalone software where we can use in just about any other computer.
