User accounts problem after using CCleaner

#1 Post by thinktank » Thu Aug 10, 2006 10:43 am

This may actually be a very XP specific problem, but the Thinkpad forum seems a good place to ask this since I am not sure what the Thinkpad software does to the user account seetings and may have something to do with my problems:

I set up a limited user account for my wife on my new T60. The first problem I have is that the security software starts anytime her profile is up. She did not want to set it up and register her fingerprints etc. So how can I disable that it asks to set up all the security features anytime her user account is started?

Then I ran Ccleaner in my (administrator) account. A few things are weird after that: her document folder shows up under "my computer" in my profile even though it is set to "make this folder privat" (don't remember the exact wording).
Before I ran Ccleaner, it was hidden under my profile.

The other thing I noticed is that deleting icons from her desktop in her limited user account, affected my desktop in my administrator account! That seems wrong to me....
