X60s & Vista

#1 Post by scottcar » Wed Sep 27, 2006 3:50 pm

I loaded RC1 of Vista on my 1704-69u X60s recently. Everything seems to work well except the machine hangs as I shut down or put it to sleep. It reaches the "Shutdown" screen and eventually, the graphical circle stops it's animation indicating the maching is hung. I've let it sit for several minutes afterward, but it never completely shuts down.

Has anyone experienced the same issue and found a way to work around it?

Thanks!

I had problems with standby/hibernate, but never with shutdown.

when i try to standby/hibernate, it goes well, but when i wake it up again, i can move the mouse cursor but clicking and typing wont work.

havent found a workaround on this yet, so just removed vista for now.
