Battery Poswer ICON ?

#1 Post by sun365 » Mon Aug 23, 2004 5:37 pm

I installed windows XP Prof. on my X31. And in the process lost some cute things that were on my X31. One of them is the Battery Icon that shows your battery power. How can I reinstall this?

If you are talking about the regular Windows XP battery status icon then do the following:

1. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click Power Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Select the "Always show icon on the taskbar" check box.

Or you can use IBM's Battery MaxiMiser and Power Management Features.

I think the Battery Maximiser icon that IBM provides with
it's tools was designed in the 70s by a 6 year old. The tools
work for me though so I suppose you can't have everything.
