i was trying to update RNR today, while it was about to finish installation, the computer froze for some reason and i could not cancel anything unless i turn off the computer forcefully. i had no other hcoise so i did.
what happenned is:
1) i cannot start RNR installation again: "Error 25002: Cannot install SMI device"
2) cannot log into the recovery console from the O/S selection menu ( i have Linux Ubunto, Windows, and the IBM service RNR console). whenever i try to select it i get:
"ERROR 12: INVALID DRIVE REQUESTED; PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE"
* the data is on the IBM SERVICE partition is still there, but it seems sth went wrong with the MBR.
* I tried the IBM MBR utility but i still get the same message.
Any help?? any suggestions? Please. Thanks.
RNR= "error 12: invalid drive requested"
