i'm having trouble installing acronis on rc1, it almost finishes the install, then backs it all out. what disk management/partition programs are you using w/ vista?

trueimage 10 should work. But apperently no imaging program works well under vista.

Best strategy: Just use your acronis bootcd and do your backup/restore from there. Only downside, you can't mount an image.

Actually for partitioning and resizing the drive you don't need any 3rd party software tool. That's build in directly in vista.

Just consult the help for diskpart! That should do all your resizing and partitioning needs.
