Maintenance Manager for Vista

#1 Post by hkelley » Fri Jan 12, 2007 4:58 pm

We now have available via the Lenovo Vista site Maintenance Manager for Vista in both 32 and 64 bit versions. It seems to install and work fine but I am curious if this manager is providing me anything different than what is built into Vista.

For example, it runs a defragmenter, disk cleaner and hard disk backup. Is this Lenovo's version of these processes or is this just a scheduler front end to the built-in functions of Vista?

I think "Maintenance Manager" is a new name for "Away Manager" - e.g. http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-61485. In can run the system utilities with lowered priority and when no mouse and keyboard activity is detected.
