Did you upgrade or do a clean install of Vista. I did an upgrade initially, and had all sorts of problems, such as the existing software like omnipass not working anymore (only to be expected I suppose) but then not being able to uninstall it (arrgggh!). So then I wiped the disc and did a clean install. Things are much better now but of course I have none of the software, and omnipass does not have a vista version out yet. In fact the Lenovo downloads page for the N100 has NOTHING on it yet!! I hope some things appear at the end of the month when Vista is released for consumers!

I tried the thinkvantage software for fingerprint readers, but as noted elsewhere, it does not work. So I'm in the same boat as you at the moment...a useless finger print reader. Maybe they shouldn't have put that 'Vista Capable' sticker on the N100 just yet!

Works on a T60p...sort of

The fingerprint software works on my T60p that I have installed Vista Enterprise VL onto, clean install. The fingerprint side of it works, meaning I can login using my fingerprint and a domain account. However when vista starts the Client Security Solution asks me to re-authenticate and when I put in my password it says "Failed to enroll user in Client Security Solution". I can not figure out why it is saying that since the fingerprint side authenticates correctly.
