How do I get the volume to display when I use volume keys?
Hi,
I have reformatted and installed Vista. I only want to install what is actually needed rather than the full load which came factory installed.
When I use the volume keys or the screen brightness keys then the volume/brightness status does not display on screen like it used to when it came with the factory installed Win XP. Does anyone know which software I should install from the Lenovo site?
Thank you.

That will work, but Lenovo has released System Interface Driver for Windows Vista.

This will work the same, but is developed for Vista, not XP.

Hi all,
I had the exact same issue on posted for a solution on this thread:

I used both the hot key utility and system interface driver combined to get the display working properly.

IBM T43 running Windows Vista Ultimate RTM
The Hotkey utility wont install as it says that it is only for IBM systems! I assume that this is becuase I have ont installed the interface thingy.
What exactly is the Interface Driver? When I install it will it just be something that as an end-user I cannot see? Or will it add something to my start menu etc? Or maybe it is the black panel that appears when I press the Think Vantage button? (this used to appear on my factory XP installation).
