Lenovo Released New Vista Drivers

#1 Post by brucewilsonpa » Mon Jan 29, 2007 3:33 pm

For those interested, there appear to be 100+ Vista-specific drivers on Lenovo's website. I'm not sure if all of them are newer than those we already have but they popped up in response to a search for Vista material. At the moment (Monday - 3pm EST) their website must be loaded with visitors because it tends to time out.

One caution, at least for my situation -- I have Vista RC1 installed and I noticed that when installing a couple of the new drivers (all I got before the website timed out) I received an error that the program might not have installed properly -- I suspect this is because of something it sees in my RC1 version vs. the RTM version due out tomorrow.

From my last test with Vista Business, it needs lots of driver updates. The network and wireless drivers are very poor in performance compare to XP.

Missing are lots of Thinkvantage utilities but overall I'm happy that I got a score of 4.7 in Vista.

I was carried away in my earlier post -- they have 32 new drivers for Vista.

it has been bad today. this am it was down completely, now you can see new releases, but i find it impossible to download, after you select the page to get, it fails. either they are getting really hit hard with downloads or they are doing massive web updates to finish everything by 1.30 anyone else notice same
