Windows hotfix, update modules.

Software installer found some Windows Upate Modules (Q885894, Q884868, Q883517) and a Windows Hotfix (KB896613).
They are all necessary according to SI. But after the download the installation fails for some reason.

Can someone tell me what´s going wrong and how critical these updates are?

Go to www.microsoft.com and type each number into the search box to learn about the update.

I looked at the first update you listed and it is for Windows Installer. SI never suggests Windows updates for me, so it appears your Windows system is not up-to-date. ... JD Hurst
