Vista Says Fingerprint Software 5.6 has compatibility issue

If you have installed this, open Problem Reports and Solutions in Control Panel and review the problem report. I found the FP software v 5.6 listed, although it didn't say what the problem is.

The software works as far as I can tell, although Vista ignores my preference to skip Windows logon (and another fingertip swipe) which I have listed in the FP configuration.

Has anyone else seen this?

I tried FPS several times, it simply doesn't work with Vista. Since IBM has no more influence to Thinkvantage software department, it goes worse and worse from day to day. Arrrgh.

I've seen this problem listed in "Problem Reports and Solution" but about setup file only. After successfull Installation, i use it perfectly.

Do u know, we have 2 version 5.6 of Fingerprint software (1 is Pre-Release and 1 is Final)

FPS 5.6 (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-66948) works fine for me under Vista Enterprise RTM but today WindowsUpdate tried to downgrade the biometric driver.

FP 5.6 works fine for me with Vista. Don't forget the registry patch for FP:
