super_pi score in Vista

#1 Post by extrain » Fri Feb 02, 2007 3:15 pm

My machine got the following scores:

1M: 0m53s
2M: 1m58s

It is extremely slow comparing to XP. It took around 1 min to calculate 2M digits in XP.

See my signiture for the machine specification. What's your score for super pi in Vista? Is it because that the super_pi program has not been optimized for vista?

It shouldn't be that much slower. E.g.

http://techgage.com/article/windows_vis ... ce_reports

-1.27% slower, maybe

Strange, here's mine:
1M: 0m22s
2M: 0m56s
4M: 2m10s

I've got the T7600 cpu.
I think you might have some sort of misconfiguration, powersaving maybe?

Thanks. Yes, it is because of the powersaving. I didn't know powersaving still in effect even I have AC plugged in. Now the computation time for 2M is 1M6s. It is still slower than yours though. :)
