T60p - Vista Issues

#1 Post by brucewilsonpa » Sat Feb 03, 2007 12:21 pm

I've been expriencing several issues in Vista -- is anyone else having the same experience or are these warranty probs?

1. Coming out of stanby -- screen stays dark although when I swipe my fingerprint it restores

2. Typing in IE text boxes (like this) -- keeps missing key strokes

3. Thinkvantage blue button does nothing -- I've updated the Lenovo productivity and help center programs.

If anyone can suggest how to address these, I appreciate it.

Mine does this, but if I move the mouse it also brings the screen to life.

There must be a better way to do that... perhaps Lenovo has something on their site?

Have you downloaded and installed ThinkVantage Productivity Center once you've done this and run the program once after rebooting, all future presses of the blue ThinkVantage button launch the program for me. Note you need to un-install older versions first, (and I deleted the folder at c:\Program Files\ThinkVantage\PrdCtr , then run this program.

I followed this suggestion and although productivity center seems to work as expected, the ThinkVantage button still does nothing.
