VMWare player 1.0.3 runs just fine. Did not tried it with wi-fi, though. I run "host only" and bridged with wired lan.

You may look athttp://www.iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/W ... Virtual_PC to find out which versions are compatible.

It works fine on Vista, through wifi too.

Was running XP and W2K on vista the other day to do testing (felt kind of odd though) - and my VS2003 dev environment is in a VM to ensure it runs smoothly.

Works great for me.

wich version of vmware are you using ? I'm using workstation 5.2.2 in xp... so you're sure i'll be able to use my wifi (2200BG) in my virtual machine... I'm using Ubuntu 6.10 as guest system...

Actually, i tried vmware workstation 6 beta about two weeks ago, and in my virtual network settings, i didnt see my network connection... In xp, i can choose a physical connection to bridge to vmnet0, but in vista, it didn't work... i used the default vista drivers for the lan and wifi connection, not the lenovo drivers...

Beta 6 and before that Player 1.0.3.

With default Vista drivers. Nothing special.

Go to VMware's website.

Under WorkStation, you will find 6.0 Beta which is compatible with Windows Vista.

My license will expiraton at 5/29/2007. (It's free)

I have both 5.5 and converted 6.0 images running.

I did install the new VMWare tools into the VM though when running 6.0 beta.

Do you think it's possible that my vmware didn't work because I didn't install the Lenovo wifi and Lan driver ? I only used the default vista driver...

I only use the default Vista drivers too, so I doubt it's that.

Do you have some kind of firewall installed that might be blocking outbound connections?

When you go into the Network and Sharing Center, do you see the "Local Area Connection 2" and 3? These are the VMWare virtual network cards.

I've never touched them, but they should both be enabled.

Yes i see all these connections... And they work both. I only use the Windows defender firewall.
But i don't see the connection in the vmware network managment...

If you run 'Manage Virtual Networks', what do you see on the summary?
