Vista - ThinkVantage Access Connections Problem

#1 Post by shezwhitey » Fri Feb 09, 2007 2:03 pm

I recently upgraded my IBM T43 2687-DDU from Windows XP SP2 to Vista Business. The upgrade went fairly smooth except for updating ThinkVantage Access Connections. I was running 4.23 on XP SP2. I upgraded to Vista, uninstalled 4.23, then installed 4.31. The installation appeared to finish without any problem. However, when Access Connections attempts to run I get a popup window with the following message:

"ThinkVantage Access Connections cannot run on this Platform"

I checked the Readme.txt for 4.31 and didn't see anything. It looks like 4.31 is the latest and greatest and is the version to use on Vista.

Anybody else have this issue or know of a possible resolution?

Thanks

Shez

Did you actually install Lenovos System Interface Driver and the latest wireless drivers for vista?

I have the latest drivers installed, BUT I didn't have the Lenovo System Interface Driver 1.0 installed. I installed the System Interface Driver 1.0 and restarted. After the system came back up Access Connections started working.

Thanks arni
