Access connections claims Verizon EVDO 53.9 Mb/s

I have Vista set up and working pretty well on my T60p 2623DDU.

I've noticed, though, that Vista Network and Sharing Center and Access Connections both show the connection speed for my Verizon EVDO as 53.9 Mb/s. So far, this is in New York, Chicago and Peoria (IL).
