z61t - Vista - Verizon Question

#1 Post by kingweb » Fri Feb 09, 2007 3:49 pm

Hi,
I have a z61t, and I installed Vista Business.
I downloaded most of the stuff from Lenovo's website except some of the junkware that I didn't want.

One thing that I cannot get working properly is the Verizon Wireless WAN.

I downloaded the "software", but it only installs a driver. The software to actually use Verizon is not there, and I can't use my WWAN. Anybody know anything about this?

Also, what is the difference between "Access Connections" and "Broadcom NetXtreme...." Software?

Thank you.

Please disregard the Verizon question, I found the answer. For anyone else that is interested, just search for vzaccess manager verizon in google, and you will find it.

One other question, if i use the rescue and recovery, will the "restore to factory settings" actuall send it back to windows XP even though I did a clean install with windows vista? Or will it put the computer back to the way it was right after vista was installed?
