WiFi recovery from suspend slowed down with AC 4.23

#1 Post by RBob » Sat Feb 24, 2007 2:22 pm

I just moved up from Access Connections 4.21 to 4.23 and now on recovery from suspend, my WiFi connection doesn't start working again for about 90 seconds. The connection looks like it ought to be working; the signal strength icon in the taskbar is solid green and the network properties shows everything as normal, but I can't resolve hostnames or make any other sort of connection.

With 4.21, the wireless connection would be functional pretty much as soon as the machine got its act together and the cursor would respond to the touchpad.

Is this just the way it's going to be, or is there something I can do about it?

I'm using an R51 with a 2200BG wireless card, running XP Pro SP2.

Turns out that automatic location switching got enabled when I did the update and after a suspend, it was apparently trying to connect using another profile. I turned off location switching and it resumes the WiFi connection immediately.
