Problems with BT and T60p

#1 Post by efrant » Tue Feb 27, 2007 4:57 pm

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me out.

I recently got a new T60p and I am having problems getting my dial-up networking connection (with my Nokia 6230 cell phone) working over Bluetooth (i.e., tethering my laptop). I'm using the WDCOMM stack.

Here is the thing:

1) I can tether using a usb cable, so I know my phone's data settings are correct and I'm using the correct dialing string on my computer.

2) Other Bluetooth services all work fine between my phone and computer, e.g., file transfer, etc.

3) When I try to tether over bluetooth, WinXP gives me an error saying ""Error 633: The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly."

For the life of me, I can't figure it out. I tried changing serial ports, reinstalling modems, all to no avail.

I can't figure out why the phone can connect for file transfers, but can't seem to connect for tethering... aarrhhh *pulling my hair out*

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
