Power Management in Vista w/ RMClock **UPDATE**

#1 Post by byunnbi » Tue Mar 13, 2007 4:28 pm

I installed Vista Ultimate on my t41p a while ago, and I noticed something strange about the power states...

I'm using RMClock 2.15, and the option to "override windows power settings" doesn't seem to do anything anymore. My settings under RMClock is to standby (battery mode) after 10 min and LCD off in 5 min., but neither of these occur as timed.

Even more annoying is the fact that periodically (pretty regularly, actually), the power settings I input under Windows power manager automatically resets itself. I suspect that RMClock has something to do with this... in any case, I can't seem to get either power management program to work properly unless I disable RMClock altogether which I don't like to do. Anyone have a similar problem or know of a fix?

BTW, RMClock 2.2 had the same issues.

Looks like 2.15 does not support really Vista according to the RMClock forums over here: http://www.tweaksrus.com/forums/index.p ... entry85575
TP750->TP755->TP600->T20->
T30->T40->T42(15")->
T43(15")->X60s

Once you try 2.3 beta, please let us know how well it works for you ...

I just installed 2.3 beta and have been running it for a little less than an hour...

The OS power management override has been, so it seems, solved... windows power settings are retained even when I restart RMClock. As for stability issues, etc., I haven't come across anything deadly yet.
