License question

#1 Post by bigbear2007 » Fri Mar 16, 2007 7:06 pm

I already have the Vista home Pre. disk in my hand.

Because my T60 is my work machine. Can I install Vista on my 2nd temp HD. When the time comes, I will clone to my primary HD ?

As I know OEM license only allows to change some components of the laptop so I am not sure if I can do it ?

Yes, you can; but keep in mind you can only activate oem once.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Some OEMs (big ones, such as DELL, HP, Lenovo...etc) don't require their customers to activate their pre-installed (or the installation from system recovery disks) Windows (Vista included).

But this case is not pre-installed or system recovery disks.
