System restore not working - XP Pro

Hi there,

Recently, in the midst of going to a previous restore point, system restore hung up perhaps. Now when I fire up System Restore, I get a blank screen. Any suggestions on how to restore this. The Microsoft Knowledge Base suggestions did not seem to help.

Hi there,

I found two solutions using Google to try to restore System Restore, as it appeared to have been corrupted. Only the second did the trick for me, but I lost all previous restore points in the process. Hope this may be useful to someone else.

1) Solution 1: Reinstall sr.inf (didn't work for me)
