On-screen key display and ultranav not working

#1 Post by iatacs19 » Mon Mar 26, 2007 10:56 am

I installed Vista clean and everything seems to be running well enough except for the on-screen display for the keys and ultranav touchpad functionality.

You can download and try System Update 3 from the following webpage and run it to get your drivers. Some users are reporting problems with System Update and Vista. Alternatively, you can download, extract, and install the drivers manually.

For the TouchPad you need the UltraNav driver for Vista. For the On-Screen Display you need the Hotkey Features Driver for Vista. For some unknown reason, the Hotkey Features Driver for Vista is not on the page with the rest of the drivers.

I suggest creating a restore point in VIsta before you install the Hotkey and and other drivers, I am in the process of reinstalling Vista/XP right now due to some driver either IBM or other mfr. disabling the 3d/aero effects. If you are dual booting with XP system restore points will be deleted from Vista when you boot into XP. Believe me I searched the internet for hours last night trying to find any issues related to this. It could be the current build of tweakVI 1052 but I'm not sure.

I think (and that's a big think) that the hotkey driver disabled the WIN + tab key for the 3d desktop. I'm keeping track of everything I do from now on to see how the IBM drivers effect Vista Business edition.

Thank you for your help, I did have the drivers installed, but no go.

It turns out that after I installed the Lenovo Interface Driver everything started working. UltraNav and On-Screen display.
