Last question, thanks for your patience...
If I set dual-authentication (fingerprint+password) on a lenovo laptop and try to restore a Vista backup on another laptop (damage original laptop for example) which has a new TPM chip, will Vista require the original fingerprint data on the original TPM chip? This is not setting Bitlocker, just setting dual authentication for windows log on..
I like the idea of dual authentication, but is a user at risk of loosing access to his data if the original TPM chis is lost or damaged? I realize that one can select "use password if fingerprint device is damaged", but this sort of negates the utility of dual authentication..
