Driver Problem with Vista on T43

Ok, so I have just installed Vista.

But I can't find any display drivers, I have an X300 graphics adaptor. can someone please post me a link to the latest driver?

I also installed the presentation director

The wierd thing is that its shown at the page of my systems drivers and stuff, but it according to the readme, T43 isn't supported.

I get the OEMDSPIF.dll cannot be loaded. error.


And I thought that it was ready to be used, Vista that is, but still the most important software/drivers still arent devoloped

I found a solution!!

I found a monitor driver from windows 95
which enabled a resolution I could use 1920x1200@75Hz

And I also discovered that ATI CCC has the ability to choose profiles, so I can use that instead of Lenovo's Presentation director.

Now my last problem is that there still is a lot of flickering, some of you MUST know which driver I can use that haven't got that problem.

I still would like a solution that would have me run the resolution 1600x1024. Because it feels a little more slugish when it's running at 1920x1200

AAAARGGGH i CAN'T FIND ANY VIDEO DRIVERS THAT WILL INSTALL ON MY T43 X300

WHY DOES THIS SUCK SO MUCH!!!!!!!! .

Edit: BTW my biggest problem is that ´for some reason I can't choose my external monitor as my main screen.

is there someway to open that "window" where you can choose the settings for the different displays? it opened the first time I booted, and also the first time I started mobility center

Don't think so, it seems to be for desktop computers. Thanks for the effort, and I will also to try to remove it completly before installing new drivers.

But didn't ATI realease any beta drivers? If I just try to get a driver through the regular system, it just says that they don't make drivers for the the mobility graphics adaptors. But remember to have used an ATI driver on one of the earlier versions

But unfortunatly it's gone now.

Also one of the reasons that I need some sort of presentation director is that I switch a lot between external display and TV. And it's not even possible to set my external as primary display.

OK, now I found and installed ATI catalyst 7.2 it has a lot of flickering.

And for some reason, the driver thinks that the max resolution of my 24" Sony trinitron screen is 1600x1200.

And for some reason I can't add custom resolutions with powerstrip.

Does anyone know of a driver with less flickering that will allow me to add custom resolutions.

And again I just must say that I'm puzzled by how bad windows Vista handles external monitors. IT REALY SUCKS: BAD Microsoft, BAD. (Det' en Om'er)
