Battery Life and Vista Survey

#1 Post by itzcoolz » Tue Apr 24, 2007 3:12 am

hey guys, i've been having pretty severe battery life issues since upgrading to Vista, and I was wondering if they were reasonable compared to other users. also, if you have any tips or suggestions to improve battery life in vista, feel free to share!

1) Model/Battery/Configuration:
2) Vista Pre-Installed?
3) Power Manager: Thinkpad or Vista
4) Power Profile (for longer battery life):
5) Battery Life w/ XP (if applicable):
6) Battery Life w/ Vista:

Here are my answers:
1) z61t w/ 7cell: 9440-D9U (C2D 2Ghz, 2GB ram, 100GB 7200RPM HD, WXGA+)
2) Vista Business Upgrade
3) Thinkpad Power Manager
4) Power Source Optimized
5) 5 hours (w/ wireless off)
6) 3 hours (w/ wireless off)

It would be helpful to know your thinkpad product number and hardware configuration.
