How do I create a set of recovery cd's?

#1 Post by ajensen » Fri Oct 08, 2004 6:44 pm

I had to replace the hard drive in my 1 month old T42 because of something that happened to the old one (i'm still not sure what). The problem that I am having is that I can't find where on IBM's website I can download the software to make bootable recovery discs to restore my new hard drive to the original factory install. If someone could provide me with a link to that it would be great.

Arild,

When IBM sent you the replacement HD, they should have sent the recovery CDs with it, or the new HD should already have the recovery partition on it.

If IBM didn't send you the recovery discs or if recovery ability isn't in the hidden partition, then call IBM and demand the discs....they are suppose to and they will send them to you.
