DEVA card, Win2k...What software to use it?

#1 Post by dmxsoulja3 » Sat Oct 09, 2004 4:46 pm

I have a 770 with the Enhanced DVD card in it, and a fresh install of Win2k..I have the DEVA drivers installed. What player software can I use since I don't have original IBM disks, to take advantage of the DEVA card? As windvd and power dvd don't seem to use it? maybe my versions don't atleast...since they are powerdvd5 and win dvd plat.

Thanks alot, Josh
Thinkpad 770, 228 megs of ram, Win2k..

First you can download and use DVD Express from IBM. For this program exitst some options in the registry where you can activate the usage of the DEVA card.

Second: There is a build-in DVD Player for Windows 2000. In think it was under c:\windows\system32\dvdplay.exe or somethere else.

Yes ,once you install the Mpeg Features from the IBM site, just use Windows built in DVD Player(Windows Media Player)....once you install the drivers,it will put a DVD Player icon in the Start>Accessories>Entertainment folder...

Later...
