trying to figure how to make homepage stay
This has been happening to me since I got this laptop. I want my email homepage to show up when I start internet explorer. When i go to internet options and type my homepage I want, it works great. Until I shut down my computer and turn it back on. It deletes itself and gives me the msn webpage. Is there an internet reset of some sort?
Re: trying to figure how to make homepage stay
In another thread, jdhurst suggests that this is the result of Access Connections, which has its own home page setting somewhere (see MSN stuck as home page). I don't use Access Connections, so can't verify for you.ibmthinkpad99 wrote:When i go to internet options and type my homepage I want, it works great. If that is not the culprit, then a bit more information might be helpful. For e.g., which version of Windows are you running? And which version of Internet Explorer are you running?

If you mine through the comments at the bottom of this page, you'll find solutions for Norton, Microsoft Malicious Software Removal tool, AdAware, etc.: http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_g ... _page.html
I found similar things for ZoneAlarm, spybot, etc. It seems they want to protect you from assigning a 'malicious' page as your home page (as if MSN isn't malicious
). So depending on your 'security' solution(s) of choice, you might find a solution.
