#1 Post by agarza » Mon Jun 11, 2007 9:35 am

Anyone with newer Thinkpads could upload the file OEMLOGO.BMP located in C:\Windows\System32

I want to brand my T42p with the lenovo logo.

Thanks

I downloaded the OEMLOGO to C:\Windows\System32 and changed it to a .bmp file. I also tried keeping it as a .jpg. It does not show up in 'System properties', 'General tab'. What did I do wrong?

Edit: Got it .. you have to save the file as OEMLOGO.bmp but is has to be 16bit . You can convert it to 16bit in paint.

To my knowledge, you can save OEMLOGO in full 24 bit resolution and it will come out

I wouldn't mind OEM-ing my install, if only the link for the .bmp file would still work...

Shoot.

It's a Lenovo badge.

I'd much prefer the 3 color or blue IBM badge file.

Anybody got one? Something from a Win2K install should work too, its just a picture after all.
